It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. I went out for a walk this morning.
Past the crazy Jesus store...
And the crazy germophobe bodega...
I visited two of my favorite haunts - the 99 Cent store and the Aubergine Cafe.
Yes, I actually went inside, drank coffee, and wrote for an hour. I almost felt like a person.

Yay!
I love what you've done with this blog template -- it looks more like a zine than standard Blogger fare.
Also, hi.
Happy STD day
KATE
Katherine,
As an old zinester, I consider this high praise. Thanks!
And hi back!
Sunnyside is heaven, I swear. I'm so glad you're able to enjoy it again.
Your photos remind me of my friend Mollie Murphy's photographic work. She also makes sculpture and video - the ordinary rendered extraordinary. If you're interested in seeing some of her photos:

So glad you almost felt like a real person. Now that's what I call progress.
I think I am having as much fun looking at the pwetty pictures as reading your posts (I am 8 years old)
Whheeeee - just so happy
Sunnyside is so great. I love the neighborhood. And, Astoria, the sister 'hood ain't so bad either (although secretly, I think I prefer Sunnyside --- all those nice Irish folk!) So glad you had a great day!
