I went to the St. Pat's for All parade yesterday, which is right in my backyard. It began as alternative to the 5th Avenue parade when gay and lesbian groups were banned from marching there. What I love most about it, though, is that it's not just a gay parade...there are political and cultural groups marching from all over Queens (and even Brooklyn...GASP).
